Complexity Perception Index by Dr Jim Bright and Dr Robert Pryor
The Complexity Perception Index (CPI) is designed to measure how individuals cope with continuous change in organisations and their career. Based on the internationally published Chaos theory of career development by Bright and Pryor, the CPI measures 10 dimensions of change that includes coverage of attitudes towards continual change, goals, roles, routine, certainty, complexity and purpose. The CPI is based on a five year research program. See the following articles for more detail:

Help your clients embrace change, chance and uncertainty positively and productively with the CPI.
The CPI has scale realibities ranging from 0.74 to 0.84 to provide accurate diagnostic information. The CPI has been extensively used with a broad range of clients and integrates well with personality, values and interests tools.
The 97 item scale is presented in an attractive anwer booklet and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. It is easily scored and feedback is provided graphically on a normed scale providing low, high and average categories.

Luck Readiness Index by Dr Robert Pryor and Dr Jim Bright
The Luck Readiness Index (LRI) compliments the CPI and measures attitudes to unplanned events. It is now accepted that chance events occur more often and have greater influence on people's careers than previously thought (see Bright et al, 2005; Krumboltz and Levin, Luck is no accident, 2005). How people respond to these events can be influential and sometimes determinative in their future careers. The LRI has been designed after researching unplanned events in people's careers. It measures 8 key measures of reaction to unplanned events covering flexibility, risk, self-efficacy, and optimism.
The LRI is an excellent tool for assisting clients and groups understand more fully how they think about unplanned events. It assists people overcome self-limiting thinking and helps them learn how to capitalise or make the best of unforeseen circumstances.
The LRI has scale reliabilities ranging from 0.68 to 0.76 and has been used in a variety of contexts including organisational change management and rehabilitation.
Used alongside the CPI, these two tools together provide a solid platform with a sound theoretical basis for any change management program.
Bright and Associates have developed an outstanding change management program for organisations using these tools that has proved to be highly effective in turning around attitudes towards change and 21st century business conditions. Follow the change management link for further details.
